Successful Solar Installation to Power Local Factory and Boost Sustainability Efforts
At Live Solar, we’re thrilled to share a recent successful solar installation that will bring significant benefits to a local factory. This large-scale project will provide enough clean energy to power the entire facility, producing 111% of the businesses needs. The installation of solar panels were installed over two weeks, and the entire project expected to wrap up in just 60 days from appointing Live Solar to deliver the scheme.
Located on Duffield Road in Derby, Live Solar has designed, supplied, and will continue to maintain this 250kWp system. Solar energy is an incredibly sustainable solution, and this installation will have a substantial positive impact on the environment. By generating clean, renewable energy, the factory will avoid around 54 tons of CO2 emissions annually—equivalent to planting over 10,000 trees throughout the system’s lifespan.
This project underscores the potential of solar energy to fuel business operations sustainably while making a measurable difference in reducing emissions. We’re proud to support local businesses with efficient and eco-friendly energy solutions that will serve them for years to come.
Says Peak Converter’s Managing Director, Mike Crowshaw,
“We are really excited about this project which will result in 111% of our energy being generated from solar with surplus going back into the national grid, so that any excess electricity can be stored for later use. This investment demonstrates our dedication to reducing our environmental impact and brings us closer to achieving our long-term goal of becoming a net-zero converter. We are leading by example by ensuring a brighter, greener future.”
